Displays
The Display section is divided into “See through/around” and “Miniature opaque”.
See-through means a device that can be worn like a pair of glasses where the user can see the (video) display “superimposed” over normal sight. See-around refers to a very small device usually placed in front of one eye that allows some vision around the display, or with the other eye, for situational awareness.
Miniature opaque devices are frequently used as view-finders in video cameras, tiny TVs, etc. These devices may also be used in “enclosed” headsets/eyeglasses with 2 screens that display video from a variety of sources (computer, DVD player, video game, etc.). 3-D effects are possible with this type of device.
